Jo’an Dunn, CMF-Vacaville in California

Looking back, the movement to abolish PIC abolition has created a shift in thinking. We’ve gotten a lot more people thinking about how to get people out and how to keep people from being locked up. We’ve got more people working for a better end.

Looking forward, we need to get rid of prisons and also the need for prisons. We have to teach people the power of compassion. If we learned how to love right, we wouldn’t have prisons at all.
