How to Abolish Prisons: Bay Area Book Launch & Campaign Event

May 17 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

How and why do abolitionist fight to build a world without prisons?

Join Critical Resistance for a special event to celebrate and discuss Rachel Herzing and Justin Piche’s newly released book, How To Abolish Prisons, published by Haymarket Books.

We will be joined by the book’s co-author, Rachel Herzing, in coversation with KD Dixon of the California Coalition for Women Prisoners, and Woods Ervin and Kyle Neil of Critical Resistance about how organizations and communities have been building and winning in the struggle to organize across prison walls and fight against systems of imprisonment.

Critical Resistance and California Coalition for Women Prisoners are also active members of the exciting and ongoing statewide Californians United for a Responsible Budget (CURB) campaign to close 10 state prisons across California.

Join us to hear updates about this fight, and learn how you can get involved.
