Beloved comrade & imprisoned columnist of Critical Resistance’s cross-wall newspaper The Abolitionist, Stevie Wilson (along with other prisoners) has been getting harassed by a racist & homophobic guard (CO Harrison) at SCI Dallas in Pennsylvania. CO Harrison’s racist and homophobic harassment has led to at least 5 people filing complaints against him in the last week alone. Stevie Wilson, an incarcerated writer, organizer and educator at SCI Dallas, filed both a grievance and a PREA complaint. In retaliation, Stevie was moved to a new block. This is both a violation of PREA and PA DOC policy.
We know that the prison moved Stevie to a new block in order to separate him from other prisoners he knows – to punish and isolate him in an effort to silence him. As so many prisoners have told us, prisons do their worst under the assumption, based on years of practice, that no one outside finds out, or no one outside cares what happens inside. Make these calls and emails and shut down their phones so they know that we see them.
